Oracle and Red Hat have signed a "Cooperative Technical Support Agreement" in order to provide joint customers with the highest level of technical support. Customers running Oracle products on Red Hat Enterprise Linux can now call Oracle for any issues that prevent the smooth operation of their Oracle implementation. Oracle will provide severity 1 operating system bug fixes to customers.

This collaboration will ensure:

  • Faster response time
  • Better problem resolution
  • Fixes evaluated by Oracle and Red Hat for inclusion in future maintenance releases of the OS

Customers must have Oracle support contract as well as Red Hat Standard or Premium support contracts. To receive this support, Oracle customers can submit requests through metalink.oracle.com.
