Common Criteria Compliance With IBM and Red Hat

Red Hat and IBM were awarded Controlled Access Protection Profile, Label Security PP, Role-Based Access Control PP, and compliance under the Common Criteria for Information Security Evaluation commonly referred to as EAL4+/CAPP/RBACPP/LSPP, by the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP). The evaluation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 was completed by Atsec information security on six platforms including: IBM xSeries, eServer BladeCenter, zSeries, iSeries, pSeries and Opteron based systems.

Red Hat and IBM have also recently completed the evaluation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 on six IBM platforms: xSeries, eServer BladeCenter, zSeries, iSeries, pSeries and Opteron based systems.
