Certification Testing
Some schools may value the ability to offer our leading industry Linux
certification exams as a means for attracting enrollment, as a student assessment
tool, and as a school staff training program. Others may find no value in
it; therefore, we offer every RHA partner the right to offer our certification
exams as part of their annual subscription but leave that choice completely
up to you.
Red Hat's certification exams are ONLY available to students enrolled in your Academy program on your campus.
Offering the RHCT Certification
- As part of the Red Hat Academy program, your school can choose to become
a testing center for the 3.5 hour Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) Exam.
Red Hat charges a $150 per exam processing fee for each RHCT exam administered
to a registered student. Red Hat provides all exam scoring, issuance of Pass/Did
Not Pass notification, certification, certificates, and follow on benefits
for RHCTs.
- The exam fee charged by the school to the registered student can
not exceed the retail price for the RHCT exam in the U.S. ($349) or respective
international location. A school may offer the RHCT to its Academy students
as often as it wishes during the term of the 12 month subscription and only
to Academy enrolled students. The school may register a student for the RHCT
exam so long as such student has completed at least one entire Academy course
on campus.
Offering the RHCE Certification
- Offering the RHCE Exam to your RHA students is only available to selected
Academy partners after they have been a RHA for at least a year and demonstrated
a history of quality performance in offering the RHCT exam.
- Only RHCT certified Academy students and these same students who have
completed the RHA 230 and RHA 250 would be eligible for taking the RHCE exam
at an Academy partner campus.
- The selection by Red Hat of RHCE Exam Centers at Academy partners will
be on a case by case basis.
